All the yarns sold are hand spun and hand dyed. 95% of the fibers used are from our very own Sheep, Angora Goats and Llamas. If we run out of wool or need a special blend we will buy from other local fiber producing farms. We offer several different lines of yarns.
The single ply is approximately 100yrds, 4 oz and is 11 wpi. It comes in 5 main colors (pictured to the right) and in a variety of natural colors ranging from black to grey to white and shades of brown. The natural colors are Shetland wool and the colored yarns are primarily Border Leister.
We have 2 different lines of Plied Yarn. The boucle yarns, consisting of Shetland wool plied with mohair, are hand painted using food dyes. It comes in 4 dreamy colors that reflect spring and fall. The other plied line is our premium yarn. This consist of 100% Shetland wool plied with hand spun silk.These skeins weigh 6 oz and are 7 wpi. Currently comes in 2 varieties; white plied with silk (pictured to the upper right) and black plied with silk. The picture just to the right is the newest creation.This single ply dynamic yarn is a luxurious blend of Shetland and silk together. It has been hand painted with non-toxic dyes.
